Why we started Turso and what it stands for?

It all started in 1990, when Simo got his first Atari ST and started playing games and coding. Then, in 1994 he got his first PC and made the first V-Wing game that sold in unprecedented amounts, well over 300 copies - this during the time when indie game distribution was by mail order and international shipping truly wasn’t much of an option..

 

Now, Simo got himself a new, big & fast computer and wanted to expand and improve the old game in all areas. It also had to be something that does not require PhD (he does) to understand, play and enjoy.

 

We take our game world(s) and concepts very seriously, but want you to have fun exploring them and finding new things to admire.

Behold V-Wing² and experience the working physics in a cave flyer and battle arena! Zoom in and see the details! Electrocute, fry, dissolve or just shoot your friends and their puny minions! We’re pushing the boundaries on implemented real physics and realistic effects in two ways: Simo is trying to get everything in and the others are pushing him to make it work on any recent computer, not just the big rigs…
